Configuring HBA Ports Using the General Configuration Wizard—Step 4

4. If you clicked Next, the HBA Port Automatic Target Discovery Settings dialog box displays (see the illustration below). With automatic target discovery, you can configure an HBA to automatically discover targets.

   The identifying information displays:
   • Hostname. The name or IP address of the host connected to the HBA
   • HBA Model. The QLA4xxx HBA
   • Port. HBA port number
   • iSCSI Name. iSCSI name
   • MAC Address. MAC address of the HBA
   • Serial Number. Serial number of the HBA
   Perform the following steps to automatically discover targets.

   1. In the Configure SLP Automatic Target Discovery group, select Enable SLP, and do one of the following:
      • Select Obtain DA address automatically (via DHCP).
      • Select Use the following DA address.
      • Select Discover DA.
   2. In the Configure iSNS Automatic Target Discovery group, select Enable iSNS.
   3. Do one of the following:

   • Click Back to return to the previous dialog box.
   • Click Next to proceed.
   • Click Cancel to exit the General Configuration Wizard without making any changes.
   • Click Help to display context-sensitive help.
